 There are many forms of the willow tree,with many names....Withy,Wicker,Osier,the Water Witch..

The wands featured on this page are all crafted from White Willow,perhaps the tree most associated with the moon and the element of water. An essentially feminine tree,intuitive,reshaping,dissolving.

Folklore tells us there are two streams that run beneath the Hollow Hills.One rises from the hazel roots and is called the Stream of Wisdom,and the other comes from the willows,and is called the Stream of Forgetfulness.We should never drink from the Stream of Forgetfuness lest we forget who we are and where we came from...and everything precious to us in the realms of mankind.

The willow dissolves,like the water she worships,dissolve into the water,formless and shifting..dreams,prophecy and psychic awareness belong to the willow.The phases of the moon and the deep inner secrets belong to her,all that is hidden and fey lie in the willow.

The Tree of Forgetfulness,and sometimes we need to forget in order to remember.

Sacred to the Morrigan,the Cailleach,Macha,Hecate and Brigit,the willow's spirit is at the emotional level.There are many layers of sadness in the willow,many layers of tears..and also many layers of joy. It's the influence of the moon and water that opens the psychic gates that dissolve the conscious self into the water of recession.

A smaller and but beautifully marked with the characteristic features of willow wood.Deep graining and  a series of beautiful dark eyes along each side of the wand make this a very attractive piece.Naturally wavered,this wand measures 39.5 cms in length and is 5cms in circumference.

Quite a rarity..fine and very beautiful white willow wand.A lovely long and very fine wand,perfectley suited to conjuring at the altar.

A range of beautiful white willow wands dressed with owl feathers.

The Nightwind is one of the more poetic names for the owl,derived from the soft,silent breeze of her wings as she passes overhead.

These wands celebrate the ancient relaitionship between the Owl,the Willow.and the Moon Goddess,all symbols of the infinite feminine..the hidden and arcane wisdom of  intuition.

The feathers used to trim these wands come from perhaps the most archetypal owl of all..the British Barn Owl,and they are beautiful things,pale and ethereal,soft white feathers dotted with the characteristic pale brown marking and darker brown spots.Each wand is trimmed with two larger flight feathers in varying sizes..and three smaller wing feathers.The feathers are bound with white thread to match the cords of these wands..nine threads of pure white cotton,handbraided as always.
